        Verdict

        JANUS missed the whole of last year but showed the benefit of an outing over hurdles when scoring over 1m2f here earlier in the week. A change of apprentice rider negates a 4lb penalty and he can go in again. Captain Howse placed over a longer trip at Bath on his handicap bow while Rita Rana is usually thereabouts without winning and Cavendish steps up in trip.
