    Verdict

    GANTIER finished nearer last at Newmarket on his debut but John Gosden’s charge showed a big improvement at Wolverhampton last time when only caught in the final strides and beaten only a nose. He’s taken to show further progress over today’s longer trip and the latter comment also applies to Marhaban. The Godolphin colt made a promising start over a mile at Wolverhampton last month and looks sure to figure but Thunderoad disappointed on his latest start. Allocator is Ryan Moore’s only ride on the card and the half-brother to a Group 1 winner is preferred to fellow newcomer Resounding Silence.
