    Verdict

A decent contest by Lingfield standards. Stormont has always been well-regarded by the Collingridge team and he dotted up at odds-on here last week. The performance of Machinist in the first should show how good that maiden victory is. Viera was a winner of a Newmarket maiden over six furlongs in September. Although not many of those in behind have run, the fact that the fourth was well-beaten here at Lingfield does not suggest that the form is anything out of the ordinary. Sulzano beat the consistent Tangled Up In Blue at Brighton over 5f. That was in nursery company though and more is needed today. The TEAMtalk vote is for Donizetti. He demolished a modest field up at Newcastle last time out and with his trainer sending out two-year-old's to victory left, right and centre during the last week, he looks difficult to get away from.
