With the encouragement of market support it could be worth siding with BRIDGE OF GOLD in this valuable handicap but if it fails to materialise then Rock Ascot or European Dream could be interesting alternatives. All three of the aforementioned come with risks attached as European Dream has yet to race on an artificial surface but his yard is in fine form and he's attractively treated. Rock Ascot has been more miss than hit since arriving on these shores from Uruguay but he showed what he was capable of at this venue on his penultimate start. Something went badly amiss at Kempton on his sole start since but the potential is there if his connections can nurse him back to form. The same is true of the selection who was pitched in to Listed company on his second outing. He didn't run too badly that day but was very disappointing the following month and has been absent since. The handicapper hasn't taken many chances with his mark but Bridge Of Gold's trainer isn't one to overface his horses and his son of Giant's Causeway is taken to get his career back on track.
