Mumaathel has the experience to see off Pikaboo, with Iannis and Waddon also worth a mention. Marcus Tregoning has failed to find a suitable opportunity for Mumaathel up to now, but surely the son of Alhaarth will make up for some unlucky visits to the racecourse to date, particularly at Goodwood in May when he had to be switched before failing narrowly. There is absolutely nothing in this line-up for him to scared of, and it will be disappointing if he fails to oblige, although he would be an even stronger fancy if this was over a mile. Pikaboo will have learnt a lot from his introduction at Windsor in August, but he does not look like one of John Gosden's A-team, while Iannis never figured at Leicester and will need to show a lot more this time. Waddon could have done with some company when racing alone in the centre of the track at Folkestone, and in addition the Clive Cox stable is not in the best of form, so all things considered, Mumaathel will never have a better chance.
