Fanzio led for a long way here last month but didn’t reproduce that run at Newcastle at the start of this month. Distingo should be suited by the likely strong pace as he is usually held up for a late run and got within a head of one winning one of these over course and distance last month. Lantiern was second to Billy’s Angel, who runs in the previous race, at Kempton last week but MARLBOROUGH SOUNDS looks a bigger danger given he won a Flat race on Polytrack last September and has been in good form over hurdles since. Cubswin has run twice on the all-weather and bounces off fast surfaces over hurdles. She’s had a break but goes well fresh so could be a factor under Bryony Frost.
