In depth

Verdict

Sash Of Honour doesn't look entirely straightforward and was probably flattered by his proximity to easy scorer Pistol at Newbury but did have a previous winner behind and today's rival, My Boy Ginger, was a tailed-off last of five. However, at the likely odds, we'll take him on with WELSH BARD who didn't run at all badly on his hurdling debut at Wetherby where he was easy to back. A winner on the Polytrack, it's anybody's guess how he'll handle the heavy ground but should go close if getting through it. Chris Pea Green wasn't disgraced under a penalty in a bumper here on the Polytrack after winning at Huntingdon and also has claims.
