Golden Flower scored under today's apprentice over C&D last week with Modern Lady well beaten. She's not easily overlooked despite a 5lb rise but neither Multitask nor Boxing Shadows have showed any progress in handicaps since landing their respective maidens. EQUITANIA has scored three times over 6f and made all for a couple of those wins. Alan Bailey's filly is fancied to go in again despite the drop back in trip with Philip Prince taking 7lb off her back.
Equitania 8-1 (9-11) Led, ridden over 1f out, headed inside final furlong, kept on same pace, held when lost 2 places near finish, 4th of 6, 1 1/4l behind Rene Mathis (9-1) at Wolverhampton 6f hcp 0-85 (4) pol.
Golden Flower 4-5fav (8-11) Tracked leader, took keen hold, led over 2f out, ran on strongly, won at Lingfield 5f 3yo hcp 0-75 (5) pol beating Layla's Oasis (9-5) by 1 1/4l, 4 ran.
