A fairly competitive finale with a number of in-form rivals in opposition including Tojoneski who gets the TEAMtalk vote. Peter Makin's charge has clearly had his training problems as the three-year-old made his belated reappearance when a narrow winner over 7f at Wolverhampton earlier in the month. The son of Emperor Jones showed plenty of determination to prevail and is entitled to improve for both the outing and the extra furlong so can overcome a subsequent 3lb rise. Siena Star has winning form on this surface but has not been seen since scoring over 10f at Chepstow in June and is likely to find this on the sharp side so is passed over while Kinsman appears to have plenty on at the weights. Reap now looks in the handicapper's grip but Lygeton Lad and Spitfire Bob remain in good form and have place claims in an open event.
