In depth

Verdict

John Joiner won in soft ground at Windsor last time and Willow Spring returned a 40/1 winner at Yarmouth to open her account. Red Flute dead-heated for first at on the all-weather track here recently when ahead of fourth-placed DIAMOND CHARLIE. The latter has not won on this surface since 2011 but can race off a much lower mark on Turf as a consequence and is taken to turn the tables on today’s terms. Babyfact tends to save her best for Bath but is back on a winning mark and Give Us A Belle does his winning at Wolverhampton nowadays.
