Not a lot to go upon without reference to the market and Sir Sandicliffe is given the tentative nod ahead of Schermuly and Serpentaria. The selection does have some doubts to answer but having elected to take this route rather than handicapping, it is hoped that Barry Hills has managed to pick the right option. Schermuly was cheaply bought but close relatives include the enigmatic Bandari. On breeding, anything achieved here could be a bonus. Serpentaria is a filly for whom similar comments apply as her family include grand stayer, Celeric. Witchingham is a sprint bred individual who is likely to be plenty forward in the market. Port Macquairie is surely better than two runs have indicated thus far and the market is watched. Blue Monkey has been expensive to follow. Sir Sandicliffe is the selection albeit to the most minimum of stakes.
