Rubis probably didn't stay the longer trip last time at Chelmsford and is better judged on earlier placed efforts. He's 0-15 but has shown enough to get involved in a race like this. Percy Verence ran a much better race at Wolverhampton earlier this month and is fairly unexposed. Hold Firm will have needed his comeback at Chelmsford and could be worth another try over this longer trip but old UNDERSTORY can notch a fourth course and distance success as he can't get much lower in the weights. He was beaten less than a length here in June and is another who will have benefited from a recent spin around Chelmsford.
