In depth

Verdict

There are has only been five declared for this but it could be one of the most competitive races on the card. Toby Lerone tries to follow up Friday's easy Southwell win under a penalty and must have every chance of doing so. De Blacksmith made the well-regarded Uxizandre pull out all the stops at Plumpton on his chasing bow but Howard's Legacy probably has some questions to answer after pulling up, for the third time in a row, on his reappearance and the returning Red Anchor is 7lb out of the handicap. SEVEN WOODS has bags of stamina and, considering he is barely out of the novice stage, ran well for a long way against useful handicappers at Wincanton last time. He may just outstay these in the ground.
