Both Thammin and Open Wide ended last season with wins but the former is 6lb higher on his reappearance. Quench Dolly and Otomo are penalised for recent successes at Leicester and Brighton respectively and both step up a grade for this. Raffle King may well reverse latest running with Otomo while Lord Cooper had no chance in the Greenham at Newbury last month and ran accordingly. The latter had been in good form on the all-weather before that but TRICK OF THE LIGHT returned to action with a close-up third at Yarmouth having been gelded over the winter. He should be sharper today and can land the spoils.
