      Verdict

      STAR STORY came up short when sent off favourite back in maiden company at Newcastle last time and finishing only third. But the fourth has subsequently won so that effort looks better in hindsight and Ralph Beckett’s filly gets another chance. Swiss Vinnare won a maiden race over a mile here recently but has plenty to prove over this longer trip and the latter comment also applies to Bleu Et Noir, who didn’t take to the Fibresand at Southwell last time. The remaining pair look up against it.
