Kodiellen made a winning start in handicaps with a late surge over a mile at Chelmsford and is not certain to appreciate the drop back down in distance. Shine On Brendan failed to stay a mile last time but had placed over today’s trip at Kempton earlier while Sound Mixer gets a change of headgear after placing once again on her latest start. Dashing Roger is preferred to Taste The Nectar on a recent second at Kempton and African Swift could go well on her reappearance but DARK KRIS gets the vote to make a winning return. Placed in novice company last year, he’s been gelded since last in action back in September and Richard Hughes’ yard continues to fire in the winners.
