        Verdict

        The step up to today’s trip witnessed PHILAMUNDO opening his account with a five-length success at Chelmsford last week. He’s due to be raised more than today’s penalty and can strike again while the iron is hot. Mr Mac and Delicate Kiss won their respective divisions of the same handicap over track and trip last month and the latter has subsequently gone close again while Cuttin' Edge also won here in November but never figured last time. Screaming Gemini was placed at Wolverhampton recently but is still looking for his first win after 13 attempts.
