Blue Torpedo has the scope to progress through the winter and can follow up here, with Transvestite, Rubies and Safendonseabiscuit worth a mention. The latter was successful at Pontefract before being outclassed in the hot race won by Cape Columbine at Newmarket and should make his presence felt. However, we prefer the claims of Blue Torpedo who hit winning form at the second time of asking when withstanding the late charge of Optimus over the course and distance in October. A son of Rahy, he has quickly adapted to the Polytrack, and although a bit fortunate to hold on last time, can only come on for the run. Transvestite was staying on well at the finish in a six-furlong nursery here last time seems to be on the upgrade, while Rubies has shown enough to pick up a race or two this winter and along with Briannsta, is worth noting for each-way purposes. Blue Torpedo has more to offer though and is the pick.
