A couple of these take a big drop in class including Captain Lars, an import from South Africa last year where he has done all his winning so far. But Kempton winner NEVER TO BE makes more appeal despite a lay-off as he has been thereabouts in decent handicaps and has every chance on today's terms. Birkdale Boy and Layla's Hero have both been competing in plating races of late with the latter winning a seller at Redcar in September but Seek The Fair Land has a tough task at the weights.
