VIA MIA is the pick for the opener, in preference to Definightly and Lady Mulligan. The usual market check is advised here, given there are a number of unraced sorts joining the lightly-raced remainder. All three on our shortlist have raced before, and indeed all been placed on ground with some cut in it. Via Mia encountered some trouble in running on debut and may have been in contention to win but for that. Frankie Dettori is booked to ride. Lady Mulligan meanwhile has to overcome a low draw. She improved from debut in her last run, and seemed to go better on a softer surface. Definightly is also on an upward curve, second last time out and well ahead of History Lesson. Support for any newcomers should be noted, but we'll go with experience and side with Via Mia.
