SUTTER COUNTY (NAP) looks the safest bet in this. He comes out best at the weights and finished well ahead of Tomily when second in a conditions race at Kempton last time. He had also finished in front of subsequent winner Visionary at Wolverhampton previously and Mark Johnston’s colt has leading claims on that form. Winning Ways and Ferocity have plenty to find on the face of it but both won their respective maidens in good style and have scope for further improvement.
