        Verdict

Great Demeanor took a step forward at Kempton last time when only beaten a length. He makes more appeal than Handsome Stranger and Plenum though Spirit of Success is not so easily dismissed on his debut effort at Thirsk during the summer. Staffhoss looks a likely improver but so does CONSIGN, a respectable fifth at Kempton on his debut and taken to open his account for a yard with an impressive strike rate at this track. Hurry Home Poppa makes his racecourse debut but the brother to high-class Group winner Banimpire is worth noting.
