Raybaan may finally go one better than his recent spate of seconds, with the trio of Hoh Viss, Azur and Tasneef also bidding to open their account for the season. Raybaan was back in handicap company at Windsor last time after proving a costly failure in a Catterick claimer the time before. He did not shape badly despite being overhauled in the closing stages and similar tactics may see him hang on here on this easier track. Azur was a beaten favourite at Leicester when just failing to get up under Kieren Fallon, and will benefit if Raybaan does set a good pace, while Hoh Viss, a half-brother to Everlasting Love, has a chance on his second to Wiggy Smith at Newbury the time before last. Tasneef has been dropping down the weights and showed his first form for sometime when second at Folkestone recently. So, many in with chances then, but overall, Raybaan has the most solid credentials.
