Verdict

BASCINET continues to improve and was winning for the third time this year when successful over 1m6f at Wolverhampton. An earlier winner over today’s longer trip, he can defy a penalty. Anisoptera and Global Wonder returned beaten favourites here last time while Cheng Gong placed at Kempton before a spin over hurdles. Rock Chant improved for the step up to 1m6f at Southwell and this extra distance may bring further progress.
