In depth

Verdict

Dower Glen, Exceed Power and Duke Of Rainford are all closely matched on recent efforts, but we will side with PAVEMENT GAMES after a good effort in defeat at Southwell last month. The selection is able to race off a lowly mark of 46 and Richard Guest's filly has shaped recently as if a first win is on the horizon. First-time cheek-pieces are tried today and she is expected to feature prominently despite her wide draw. Ballyvoanne put in a better run at Kempton last time out, Tulip Explosion needs a market check after a six month break, whilst Annia Galeria had been in good nick before disappointing behind Exceed Power last time. That runner continues to give her all and it would be no surprise to see her run well despite a 6lb rise for that Wolverhampton win. Duke Of Rainford beat her in January, but then had to settle for third behind her last month, whilst Dower Glen split that pair and should go well despite a 3lb rise for that run. At a price Thewinnatakesitall could run well now dropped in trip with the cheek-pieces back on, however the vote of confidence goes to Pavement Games.
