Ban Uisce is respected whilst there's not a great deal to choose between CRYSTAL PRINCE and Days Of Pleasure but Charlie Longsdon's charge may be able to come out on top again. The selection has been a consistent but frustrating performer and was winning for the first time when prevailing by a length and a half from Days Of Pleasure at Plumpton. The runner-up is 2lbs better off and entitled to close the gap but victory may have done Crystal Prince's confidence the world of good and he's put forwards in the hope that he can go on now that he's tasted success. Ban Uisce benefited from the switch to handicapping and opened his account at the first attempt in that sphere for which he's been handed a 6lb rise. That is perfectly reasonable and he has a decent chance of following up but is unlikely to be much of a price. The potential fly in the ointment is Letham Island who makes her debut for Tim Vaughan on her first run since October. It will be interesting to see if she attracts support as she's well handicapped and unlikely to lack for fitness but she does have to prove herself on this ground so is passed over in favour of Crystal Prince.
