Verdict

This is run on the Polytrack and both NORTHERN POET and Osprey Call have won over the track and trip. The former couldn't quite carry his penalty to victory on a return visit and that form looks slightly better than that of his rival, who beat an ordinary looking field in November. If Karl's Berg Did has changed stables since starting favourite and finishing runner-up at Catterick though the form hasn't worked out while Kemble's Cascade disappointed at Southwell after a promising start at Warwick. River Tyne has a cracking pedigree for jumping and won a point at Turtulla in March so is one to note on her debut under Rules as is Surf Walk, a half-brother to three winners and likely to have more pace than most of these.
