Cut Ridge, Only If I Laugh, Frank's Quest and Will The Till are a handful against the field in this wide-open affair, and the tentative vote is given to Cut Ridge. The selection was a fair third behind Whitethorne in a better race last time out, that form has since been franked, and in this poor race he is taken to gain compensation. Only If I Laugh rates the main danger on his latest second behind Lizarazu, but his best form is over a longer trip and for that reason he is opposed. Frank's Quest is another that could go well on his best form but consistency is not his strong point so he cannot be put forward with any confidence. Will The Till was a fair third behind Sister Visage last time and is another with place claims but has been done no favours by the draw. Of the remainder, Feast of Romance has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price if the first-time visor works but, in a race that throws up more questions than answers, for the winner we return to Cut Ridge.
