This trial race produced last year’s Derby winner in Anthony Van Dyck. None of these were rated as highly as the latter as two-year-olds but BERKSHIRE ROCCO looks to have the strongest form on his third in a Group 3 race over 1m2f at Newmarket behind runner-up Miss Yoda, who runs in the earlier Oaks Trial. Sound Of Cannons was aimed high last year and may do better at this level while King Carney was a Listed winner over a mile at Pontefract and should stay the extra distance. Jockey bookings suggest King's Caper is preferred to stablemate Dark Heart and the former should also have the measure of Summeronsevenhills while English King and Pride Of America are maiden and novice race winners on the all-weather respectively and both upped in class today.
