    Verdict

KIDLAT is following a well-worn path as he scored over 1m1f from a mark of 73 at Wolverhampton in March and followed-up a few days later under a penalty. This time he won at the Midlands track on Monday and goes unpenalised as it was an apprentice race so he looks well enough treated to take this. Suntrap had been beaten off a mark of 65 here in November before a very easy success in a maiden over the C&D last month. He's now 10lb higher which may be enough to prevent a follow-up. Pertuis scored on his debut for Harry Dunlop over this C&D in November having previously raced in France. He ran well over an extra furlong at Kempton subsequently where he only faded in the closing stages. Strike Force is generally consistent and would have a decent chance if repeating his latest run behind Mighty Clarets at Wolverhampton where he just failed to get up over that 1m1f.
