Verdict

SANDRIDGE LAD won a handicap on the Fibresand at Southwell last week but also scored at Chelmsford back in October. An apprentice’s claim reduces a double penalty back in novice company and John Ryan’s charge can go in again. Society Star was placed at Wolverhampton without threatening and could figure while stablemate Storm Blitz finished behind Madame Vitesse when the latter was fourth here last month. Rock Bottom is a likely improver having sneaked a place at Southwell on his debut and Mercenary Rose is a half-sister to a couple of newcomers and worth a second glance.
