      Verdict

      A small field but a few in with chances in this nursery and Afram Blue gets the vote ahead of Mafasina, Hieroglyph and Geezers Colours. The selection has a 10lb pull here for just over one length with Geezers Colours on their running over 7f here last month. Afram Blue looks almost certain to improve for the step up to a mile and at these weights he can make it count. Geezers Colours has been done no favours by the assessor, but he was a comfortable enough scorer there and may well still run a big race. Mafasina was a ready maiden winner on debut and upped in trip she will also improve for that experience, but she will do well to outpoint some more battle hardened handicappers and is just opposed. Hieroglyph looks best of the rest and she broke her duck at Musselburgh last month and has possibilities from a mark of 74, but Afram Blue has a few ticks in the right boxes and gets the nod.
