Haylah went close at Bath last year and makes her handicap debut on her return while Kalagia won a novices’ contest at Hamilton last summer but hasn’t raced since August. The latter pair are both preferred to Faay but KATH’S LUSTRE also won a novice event at Chelmsford earlier in the year and, after placing at Kempton last time, Richard Hughes’ filly is taken to make the most of her fitness advantage and come out best. Flora Tristan was well beaten at Wolverhampton on her handicap debut and this looks more difficult.
