      Verdict

      All-Weather Sprint Championship winner PRETEND returned from a lay-off with a victory at Kempton last month. The Godolphin colt comes out best at the weights again and looks the one to beat. Justice Good beat subsequent winner Amazour at Kempton before going close over 5f at Newcastle, when ahead of Gracious John and Mythmaker, but Boom The Groom is best over the minimum trip and has his first start since October. Lancelot Du Lac is another successful over 5f when scoring at Chelmsford recently but Rivellino has to come into the reckoning despite having plenty to find on these terms given he has returned from an absence to win the last two renewals.
