in touch, pushed along over 5f out, soon beaten
chased leaders, ridden over 2f out, soon faded
always behind
started very slowly, behind, headway over 2f out, switched right over 1f out, ran on to lead post
held up, steady headway from over 5f out, switched left over 1f out, ridden to lead inside final furlong, headed post
mid-division, effort over 2f out, soon no impression
in touch, driven and effort over 2f out, weakening when not much room inside final furlong
led, soon clear, ridden and headed over 1f out, soon faded
steadied start, held up and keen early, headway over 2f out, every chance inside final furlong, no extra near finish
This is a tricky finale which can go the way of Missie Baileys who is preferred to Gallego and Blue Beacon. The selection was an impressive winner at Wolverhampton last time when beating Regency Red. She gave the impression that day that she was one to stay on the right side of and she looks to have a really solid chance. Gallego certainly has the ability to win this but he has gone off the boil recently and he may be best watched until he shows some signs of encouragement. Blue Beacon finished down the field at Wolverhampton earlier in the week and she will need to improve for the step-up in trip to get competitive. Melvino shaped with some promise last time and could go well at a price but for the winner we will side with the in-form Missie Baileys.
