Verdict

One that could send the punters rushing for the exits but we will take KASHMINA against Mischief Lady and Locum. Sheena West's filly does have some fair form if one looks far enough back in her career - including a close up fifth behind Master Of Arts at Goodwood. Backing fillies that are 0 from 13 is hardly something that is recommended but if she can run up to her better lines of form, she is more capable than the majority in opposition. Mischief Lady shaped as if needing this trip on handicap debut. There could be more to come. Locum was heavily backed at Brighton earlier in the week. He should do better for a return to more professional handling. Miss Pelling was up against fillies rated 73 and 97 in her latest maiden so it was no surprise to see her not take a hand. Plum Asset is bred to be better for a trip and is certainly at the right end of the weights. Classical Rhythm shaped well when fourth at Nottingham behind Addikt though the cupboard has been notably bare ever since. Course winner, Princess India, is exposed though appears best of the rest. Kashmina is not without negatives in a race that makes limited betting appeal.
