Impeller has solid claims at the weights but Willie Muir's gelding has yet to prove his effectiveness on sand and a safer bet looks to be Obrigado, who gets the vote ahead of Zonergem and Secretary General. The selection has not looked to be the most straight-forward of customers but the William Haggas-trained gelding is at least proven on the surface and is probably better on the Polytrack than on turf. Declan Daly's Ninth House also has form on the surface, while Lunar Sovereign would bee interesting at his best but has shown no sign of that since going over hurdles for the Pipes. Secretary General has more obvious claims than most of these on recent form but Paul Cole's gelding is not as well treated as Zonergem, who looks would have gone close to being the selection but lack of a recent run is of concern for the eight-year-old so preference is for Obrigado.
