Impossible to enthuse about such a weak maiden and HOT STUFF is only a token choice. One of two Tony Carroll runners, the gelding hasn't shaped too badly the last twice and would certainly be the one to beat if reproducing his best form over course and distance around this time last year when placed three times in modest sprint maiden company. Gnaad is open to some improvement after not being disgraced here in November on just his second start when fourth of eight behind Team Meeting. He rates an obvious danger. Scealtara should also improve on her debut run a week ago when fourth at Newcastle and completes the shortlist in a contest where the market is likely to prove informative.
