The relatively lightly raced Den's Gift has already begun to make up for lost time with wins in each of his last two starts, latterly in good fashion in a Kempton handicap, and the Clive Cox-trained gelding is taken to make it three on the bounce here, getting the verdict over Halsion Chancer and Precocious Star. The last mentioned has not had a great deal of racing of late and has slipped to a respectable mark so has to be respected. Bazroy ran well here on his first start for three months over six furlongs last time but has yet to prove that he stays the extra furlong so may be best watched, while Russian Symphony looks to be going the right way but may still be a shade high in the weights. Halsion Chancer is in form at present and has the beating of Bazroy on running here last time but he is another yet to prove his effectiveness over seven furlongs and preference is for the progressive Den's Gift.
