    Verdict

Lady Bear has had a fine season and can take this Listed event at the expense of Zietory and Tadris. Richard Fahey's mare has collected three times this term, including her biggest success in the William Hill Mile at Goodwood, and providing she has not started to wind down, can win a few more pounds for connections. The plan is to go to the sales shortly, and if successful here, she is sure to be a hot commodity. Her main rivals, Zietory and Tadris, have also been in fine fettle this summer. Zietory in fact drops in grade having contested a Group 3 event in Italy, but will find the older Lady Bear a tough nut to crack. Tadris has the assistance of Kieren Fallon and bids to go one better after being touched off in Listed company at Newmarket. The drop back to a mile will be in her favour and she too can go close. Of the rest, Jummana should be noted. She has a long absence to overcome but her trainer Gerard Butler always does well in the better races here, and she may be aimed at such events this winter. A decent contest then, and one in which Lady Bear can prevail.
