        Verdict

        Bochart returns to maiden company having gone close in a couple of handicaps of late. Like the rest of these, he has no experience of testing ground but should be thereabouts on form. So should CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM, beaten only a short-head at Nottingham last time when four lengths clear of a subsequent winner and rating the selection on that running. Marshal Dan Troop, Guapo Bay and Plantation are all likely improvers if handling the surface.
