Verdict

Shaolin was a losing favourite over 7f here on his return from layoff. He should be sharper today and confirm superiority with Two No Bids and Hammer Shaft but may find Lily Edge too good. The latter made a promising debut behind Maxi Dress over track and trip last month but has to give plenty of weight to a couple of three-year-old newcomers in King Bertie and GAMBOLLING DEN. The former is worth noting but the latter is a half-brother to multiple all-weather winner Mutual Regard and he gets the nod to make a winning start.
