In depth

Verdict

A wide open handicap rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be La Via Ferrata, Lady Romanov and Newport Boy and the narrow vote is given to La Via Ferrata. The selection was a fair third behind Chess Board last time out. That form has since been franked and off the same mark her he looks the value bet in an open affair. Lady Romanov rates the main danger on his latest third behind Postage Stampe especially as the step up in trip looks sure to suit and he should be noted in them market. Newport Boy is another worthy of respect on his latest fourth behind Cool Customer but he looks very onepaced. Smokey Blue is from a yard in form and could go well at a price but he has been done no favours by the draw. Of the remainder Wise Choice has dropped to a handy mark and is another that could go well but for the winner we return to La Via Ferrata.
