A low-grade contest for horses who have never been placed under Rules. Several have managed to finish fourth including Doonbeg Don at Punchestown though he was beaten a long way. JERONIMO DE L'OUCHE occupied the same spot in a Naas maiden a couple of weeks ago, a major improvement on anything shown in bumpers, and he wouldn't need much more to gain his first success. Marciano looks as though he has some potential and was staying on over shorter at Killarney but Midweek Voices ran poorly at Cork after a much better effort over the minimum on this track.
