Verdict

Ceatharlach has a long absence to overcome and makes his handicap debut. He very nearly landed a touch when last seen at Wexford in October last year so the market should be watched. Chapter Two went up 9lb for his victory at Cork in May and will probably have needed his reappearance at Navan. This isn't the toughest of handicaps so he should make a bold bid to return to winning ways. It's A Long Story has shown nothing whatsoever in the UK or on his debut for Gordon Elliott at Tramore while MADABOY CROSS has only been placed once in 11 starts. However, the latter hasn't been beaten far in two of his last three starts and with Kevin Brouder able to claim his 7lb he looks the one to beat. Father Jed was engaged in the 2.05 here yesterday.
