Verdict

Conan's Rock reappeared with an all-the-way victory on heavy ground at Leopardstown and defied a 9lb rise to make all over this track and trip on similar ground for which he's up another 7lb. Maal, who was around four lengths behind in that latter event, is much better off at the weights and should theoretically reverse the form though it's a very long time since he won a race. TOCCATA BLUE has been running very well from this mark on Polytrack without quite getting there. He wouldn't want any more rain but, providing the ground doesn't turn soft, he could be the one to beat. Kavaco probably didn't have much to beat on his debut at Dundalk in November but did it well enough and isn't overburdened on his handicap debut. Stradater landed a maiden over 7f here in June but made no impression in a handicap at the Curragh in August and hasn't run since. Lady Giselle's lone success came over this trip but she's been racing over much further while Reckless Lad has shot up the weights due to his successes at Dundalk.
