David Wachman has won this twice in recent years and Torcedor did well last season winning a premier handicap before just touched off by the useful Zannda in a Listed contest. Silwana has a similar profile though he did manage a Listed success at the Curragh when tackling two miles. This could be on the short side and ALTESSE loos the one to be on. Jim Bolger's mare has the beating of Silwana on a line through Zannda and has the benefit of an opening run at Leopardstown when she beat Ballybacka Queen in Listed company. That run plus an allowance of 8lb might just swings in her favour over the St Leger runner-up Bondi Beach, who has a Group 3 penalty to carry and hasn't run since the Melbourne Cup. Toe The Line could hardly have been more impressive on her reappearance at Gowran and is another to consider in an interesting contest.
