Verdict

WHISKEY HALL was heavily supported when runner-up in this a year ago. He hasn't seen a racecourse subsequently but will have been primed by his shrewd handler and can gain compensation. Denis Hogan places his horses well and Missie Ella has been running so well that she has to be a threat along with Moving On, who will be having his 100th career start and arrives in winning form having scored easily at Thurles in January. Hidden Crack landed a chase at Clonmel off a 5lb higher mark so it's no surprise to see him reverting to hurdles while Chestnut Charlie is invariably thereabouts without quite getting there, though his rider's claim will be a bonus this time.
