This will provide a real test in the conditions but Gold Brocade has experience of soft going and should be thereabouts. CALL OF THE JUNGLE made an encouraging start at Navan and attempted to make all over 7f on soft ground at Listowel, where she led until the final furlong. That experience should stand her in good stead and she can go one better. There are several once-raced types who will be expected to improve markedly including Johan The Great, who showed up nicely at Dundalk, Early Bright, who ran well for a long way over 7f at Naas, and Joven, a very good third at Fairyhouse. Perry Owens could find this on the short side though the testing ground can enable him to get competitive.
