THE PAPARRAZI KID can make a winning start over fthe larger obstacles. He ended last season with a superb victory in a very tough Punchestown handicap hurdle and his pedigree suggests he should do even better over fences. He had earlier been beaten five lengths by today's rival Call Rog at Fairyhouse but was conceding 7lb to the winner, who had a recent run over fences where he looked in need of the experience. Kandinski has had nine races under Rules, finishing runner-up on seven occasions. He's a winning point-to-pointer and made a promising start over fences at Sligo so must be on the short-list. Castle Wings has disappointed over fences after a bright start and a bigger threat may arrive in the shape of Moscow Chief, who was very well supported to land a Cork maiden hurdle in May.
